Duration: 20 Minutes
Occasion: Talk at PandaRoot Online Meeting
Background of Audience: Developers of our experiment’s software framework; physicists; in average small to no background in Git
During the last collaboration meeting we found out that more and more software tools we are using are switching their code version control system from SVN to Git. Some of the developers attending the meeting didn’t know what Git was, so I volunteered to tell something about the new system.
I think I gave a decent glimpse on what Git can do, although I couldn’t go into the more interesting details of branching and working in-parallel to a master repository. Time, you know?
